The Kozy Goat is a lifestyle blog that covers a wide range of topics including travel, beauty, fashion, and wellness.

Absolutely! Start by planning a "Game Night", BUT,... hold on, we aren't talking the usual 'Monopoly' type, but rather a twist of "Cards Against Humanity" or a custom Trivia game about your particular group. Give everyone a random nickname to use throughout the night and see if one sticks. Or spice it up with a "Flashback Corner" where everyone can bring a meaningful item and share it's story. Adult show and tell? Why not? Send everyone home with a jar of cookies or a handwritten inside joke, or even a leftover container with their name on it that you decorated earlier that week for them? These personal touches add depth and show forethought that makes people feel special, thus deepening the connections to each guest.

I do it out of love for sharing ways to soothe the soul. I enjoy being creative, resourceful, and helpful. It makes me giddy to know that others get a spark of anything that helps them, and I was the one that passed it on to them.

This is an interesting one for me. The bottom line is that when we feel good about ourselves in ways that holds space for our health and wellbeing, it is reflected in the way we surround ourselves in life. To me, one begets the other, and hygge runs deeper than the surface for me. It's the difference of wanting something, versus making something. When you make your self-care important, it feeds everything else around you., including but not limited to, your relationships.

I am currently on the lookout for resources to help with that. I have a vision of candles with natural but unique scents, hats, scarves, and home products that bring natural elements into the home. I'd even love to sell a Cookbook of Hygge recipes that have been with me throughout my lifetime. And, I am creating new ones all the time, so stay tuned.

Well, the first step is easy. Banish the idea of "perfect". You want your guest to feel like it's more of a hangout. Set the tone with comfy seating. A comically large Beanbag can do the trick. Or floor pillows can add that extra level of casual, as well.

Next! Food, particularly finger foods like sliders or mini tacos. Having fewer dishes is always a plus, too, right!? A DIY drink station adds an element of "You're a close friend." as well.

Lastly, the playlist in the background should be interesting in the way that says "I'm fun, but I also read books." so think a mix of old school jazz with contemporary Indie music.

Ah, the cozy conundrum! The best starting point is always, always going to be about lighting. Think fairy lights or a dimmable lamp that whispers "relax", instead of screaming "Hospital!".

Next, layer your textiles like throws, quilts, and pillows. This creates the 'Snuggle Haven' we all covet. Adding quirky and personal decor like a goat pic that fondly brings about childhood memories is yet another layer to add charm and connection.

And finally, don't forget your scents. Vanilla is a forever favorite that embraces you like a warm hug. Or bake some cookies, bread or pizza. They are inviting, so only do it if you really, really like your neighbors.
